Clock strikes 11: 59 - December 31st.
Few seconds to go before the year ends and a new one starts. The whole world enjoys to the music and hits the dance floor tapping to the dance numbers one after the other till the music drops. The question is how long will this happy and chilling moment last ? Will the year knocking on my door come with some good news? Will the news channel start reading some good news in the prime time news hour ? Can the year give us 365 such evenings ?
Sadly enough but then this fever of happiness remains just for few minutes or may be seconds. The news channels do not come with any better news than the past year. Governance still remains shaky, Leadership still comes with blurred identity and vision, Values going down the drains, Culture still getting ruined, and so I wonder what calls for a celebration when the clock strikes midnight.
I will come with no resolutions welcoming the new year but just prayers and wishes for a better tomorrow.
With the hope that 1st January will it be a new day - new morning - new hope - new accomplishments and a walk towards a new and beautiful world with Health, Wealth, Happiness, Peace, Contentment, Love and lots of smiles :) I wish all a very Happy and a Blessed year - 2014 !
